october - special month here at beacy house & around beaconsfield
In conjunction with a number of other organisations, Beacy House is teaming up with the McGrath Foundation to 'PINK UP BEACONSFIELD'. We invite individuals, businesses and community service groups to dress up themselves and the community IN PINK to support those who are experiencing breast cancer. The McGrath Foundation provides breast care nurses across Australia and also runs program such as 'PINK UP YOUR TOWN' to raise awareness of those with breast cancer. Events are being planned across a two-week period and more details will be posted soon. A link to the McGrath Foundation Fund Raising Web page will help explain what this program is all about.
Pink Up Beaconsfield is a joint community project organised by Beaconsfield Neighbourhood House, Rotary Club of West Tamar, Moon Lily Kitchen & Cakes, Cr Joy Allen and the North Tamar Small Business Group.
